You are a Civil Engineer-in-Training joining our team to collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers on various civil engineering tasks for a range of projects. These projects encompass the design of public and private sites, trails, parks, water lines, sewer lines, and municipal facilities like roadway maintenance garages and salt sheds. Your responsibilities will include creating basemap drawings from GIS and land survey data, developing design drawings based on client requirements under the guidance of a Project Engineer, revising drawings as per Project Engineer feedback, producing exhibits to secure additional projects, and enhancing your knowledge of relevant ordinances and design standards. Key qualifications for this role include possessing an EIT Certificate or the ability to obtain one within the first six months of employment, demonstrating strong attention to detail, being eager to learn engineering calculations and practices, understanding plan and spec preparation, familiarity with CADD standards and their significance, proficiency in Autodesk software packages (such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, ReCap), and a keen interest in the engineering topics outlined in the job responsibilities.
