Laboratory Technician

You are invited to join GITAM School of Technology as a Lab Technician to contribute towards the effective operations of our Chemical Engineering and Bioinformatics laboratories. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the functionality and regular calibration of all equipment and instruments in the Chemical Engineering laboratories such as PDC (Process Dynamics & Control), HT & MT (Heat and Mass Transfer), BCRE (Biochemical Reaction Engineering), and MO (Mechanical Operations). Additionally, you will be involved in setting up, operating, and maintaining Bioinformatics software tools and systems, as well as managing laboratory-related software to guarantee the smooth operation of lab computer systems. During lab sessions and project work, you will provide technical support to both faculty and students while also overseeing inventory, consumables, and enforcing lab safety protocols. To excel in this role, you should possess proficiency in computer operations, including MS Office and scientific/lab software. Your ability to troubleshoot IT/software-related issues in lab environments will be crucial, along with strong communication and team coordination skills. The ideal candidate will have either a Diploma in Chemical Engineering or an M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or any related discipline.,
