Laboratory Manager

Role Overview: As a Laboratory Manager at Aviagen India, you will be responsible for managing all sections of the laboratory to ensure high quality and accurate processing of samples within deadlines. Your role will involve implementing testing protocols, maintaining data accurately, reviewing results, training employees, ensuring hygiene and safety standards, managing the laboratory staff, planning budget, and procuring materials. Key Responsibilities: - Manage all sections of the laboratory (Serology, Bacteriology & Media preparation, molecular diagnostics, Virus isolation and characterisation) to process and test samples accurately and within deadlines. - Implement sample testing protocols to agreed quality standards and seek to improve efficiency and consistency. - Maintain accurate and timely data in accordance with Aviagen standards. - Review results falling outside limits and take appropriate action, including escalation for health risks. - Train and assess employees regularly to ensure quality standards are met. - Ensure laboratory practices meet hygiene, health, and safety standards. - Manage laboratory staff, including performance management, communication, training, and development. - Plan and manage the laboratory budget, seeking cost efficiencies and quality improvements. - Production planning and procuring required materials through established procurement process. - Prepare annual reports, renew DSIR certification, and maintain NABL accreditation. - Manage Budget and Staff of 9. Qualifications Required: - Masters in Microbiology/biotechnology. - 10 years of experience in microbial laboratory techniques including virology and molecular diagnostics. - Good communication skills. - Ability to motivate and manage the team. - Ability to run the division independently.,
