Laboratory Assistant (Molecular Biology)

As a Lab Assistant at our client's pioneering Indian biotech company, your role will involve supporting daily research activities and long-term scientific goals in the Research and Development department located in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Maintain lab inventory and ensure supplies such as pipette tips, tubes, and gloves are always stocked. - Prepare routine buffers and reagents, label them accurately, and maintain logs accordingly. - Assist in assay cartridge preparation by filling, sealing, and organizing them for testing. - Perform agarose gel casting, electrophoresis, and document gel images. - Utilize Nanodrop to check DNA/RNA purity and diligently record results. - Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards in the lab by cleaning glassware and workspaces daily. - Regularly update log sheets and promptly report any discrepancies or stockouts. For this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and skills: - Diploma or B.Sc. in Life Sciences or a related field. - Proficiency in basic lab techniques such as pipetting, pH adjustment, and Nanodrop usage. - Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain organized records. - Possess attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive work ethic.
