Job Title: Quality/Lab Engineer Location: Mumbai Maharashtra Job Summary The Quality/Lab Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of [products/materials/processes] through comprehensive testing, analysis, and quality control measures within the laboratory environment. This role involves developing and implementing quality procedures, conducting tests, analyzing data, and collaborating with various teams to identify and resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of quality principles, lab methodologies, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or laboratory role within the construction industry specifically in Infrastructure projects like roads, Railways, Bridges etc. Key Responsibilities Laboratory Operations: Perform a wide range of day-to-day laboratory tests and analyses on [raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, components] according to established standards on frequency as defined in the tender documents or relevant IS codes. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, ensuring their accuracy and optimal performance. Maintain detailed and accurate records of all tests, experiments, and results. Quality Assurance & Control: Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, work instructions, and documentation. Identify, investigate, and document quality deviations, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Data Analysis & Reporting: Maintain proper registers and testing records as required by the client on routine basis and ensure that all of them are counter signed by the client. Present findings and recommendations to management and relevant teams for all the inward material with respect to quality. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma from reputed institute in Civil. Technical Skills: Proficiency in conducting various lab tests. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) , such as ISO 9001. Familiarity with lab equipment calibration and maintenance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
