Lab Chemist

As a Jr. Lab Chemist at our company in Vapi, Gujarat, you will play a crucial role in our Quality Control team, specifically focusing on paper coating processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting routine and specialized Quality Control tests on paper coating materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards. - Monitoring and controlling environmental parameters such as humidity, temperature, and heating conditions essential for coating processes. - Performing trial runs using trial-and-error approaches to develop and improve coating formulations and application techniques. - Analyzing coating quality parameters like surface properties, adhesion, thickness, and uniformity. - Maintaining and calibrating laboratory instruments and equipment for accurate testing. - Preparing detailed test reports with data interpretation, highlighting deviations, and recommending corrective actions. - Collaborating with Production and R&D teams to resolve quality issues and support process optimization. - Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the lab. - Maintaining detailed documentation of all lab activities, trials, and QC results. - Staying updated with the latest developments in paper coating technologies and QC methodologies. Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Paper Technology, or related field. - Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in paper coating, paper QC, or related laboratory environment. - Strong knowledge of paper coating processes, environmental controls, and coating quality parameters. - Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and performing routine QC tests. - Skilled in data analysis, reporting, with attention to detail. - Ability to conduct trial-and-error experiments and optimize coating formulations. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards in lab operations.
