Role & responsibilities The Lab instructor at RV University is responsible for providing strategic support for lab activities services and infrastructure. This position involves managing all equipment used in labs along with ensuring processes are followed for the usage. Preferred candidate profile Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance of lab: • The instructor will be overall responsible for the smooth operation of lab with all equipment. • Proactive check every day to ensure 100% uptime of Lab with equipment operations and process following . • Install and configure the needed software on all systems proactively for smooth operations. 2. Maintain Cleanliness logbook: • Ensure the lab is neat , clean, and tidy all the time . Enforce discipline with students to leave the lab in the same clean stage before they leave. 3. Stock register maintenance: • A register must be maintained with details of all equipment, accessories and software licenses being used in lab to keep a track. 4. Complaints/requests logbook: • A register must be maintained with all complaints and requests made, and act promptly to resolve. 5. Movement register logbook: • A register must be maintained to keep asset/accessories movement with a tracking 6. Student login logbook: • Student login must be kept in record every day in register to track their activity and attendance. 7. Room access with keys: • One set of Key must be kept with instructor and other with IT team. No other teams are allowed to enter lab without instructor permission. 8. Maintain lab manuals: • A lab manual must be followed and maintained by the instructor to ensure it is UpToDate with the latest processes and guidelines regarding lab use. 9. Dos and Donts: • Develop and uphold a set of guidelines encompassing best practices (Dos and Don'ts). 10. Timetable maintenance: • The timetable must be maintained and kept UpToDate with the instructor. 11. Lab system config: • The lab configuration must be shown on display. • Installation and troubleshooting of software in lab systems. • All computer assets must be tagged with building name, Floor number, Lab room number, PC number , etc with a physical sticker, in stock register and in soft copy asset record. 12. Asset record: • Keep an up-to-date inventory of IT assets and ownership records, including hardware and software licenses. Maintain a logbook/register as well, keep the record in soft copy that must include all assets ( Hardware, software, licenses and accessories ) used in lab. Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant IT certifications are preferred. • Experience: 0 to 3 years. • Strong understanding of relevant regulations and compliance standards. • Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. • Hardware, software, Application, MS office O365 and OS installation knowledge. • Basic/Intermediate knowledge of MS office tools (Excel, Word, PPT) • Basic/Intermediate knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN) • Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Audio/Video, Microphone, Speaker, Video Conferencing, TV, Digital display, CCTV
