L3 Solaris Engineer

You are an experienced L3 Solaris Engineer responsible for leading the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of a critical Oracle-based data center infrastructure. Your primary role involves working with advanced server technologies to ensure 99.95% uptime and collaborating with OEMs for both new and legacy systems. Key Responsibilities: - Configuring and deploying Oracle SPARC T8-1 servers, X86 servers, ZFS Storage (ZS9-2), SAN switches, and integrated backup appliances. - Installing and managing Solaris, Oracle Linux, and Windows Server operating systems across virtual environments (Production, Dev, Test). - Creating, securing, and maintaining system images, data snapshots, and backup protocols as per IT security policy. - Performing server hardening and implementing best practices aligned with enterprise IS policies. - Providing technical coordination with network and application vendors for full-stack integration. - Ensuring compliance with Data Center SLA 99.95% uptime and MTTR of 4 hours for production systems. - Submitting commissioning documentation with hardware serial numbers and installation details. Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum 5 years of experience in Solaris and Oracle infrastructure deployments. - Proficiency in OS hardening, virtualization, and backup strategies. - Hands-on experience with Oracle SPARC servers, Oracle ZFS Storage, and SAN switch integration. - Experience with VMware, Windows Server, and ITSM tools is a plus. - Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and client-facing skills. Preferred Certifications: - Oracle Solaris System Administrator - ITIL Foundation (Optional but preferred),
