The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data center networking principles, coupled with hands-on expertise in Cisco Nexus platforms, routing and switching protocols, and modern overlay technologies. Responsibilities: Participate in the design and architecture of data center network solutions, considering factors such as scalability, performance, and high availability. Implement and configure data center network infrastructure based on design specifications, including Cisco Nexus switches (2K, 5K, 7K, 9K series). Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and technologies, including VPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. Implement and manage overlay technologies such as VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OTV, and LISP. Work with Cisco Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies, including Cisco ACI, Cisco Programmable Network Portfolio (Standalone VXLAN-Fabric), and DCNM. Contribute to the design and deployment of various data center solutions, ranging from traditional standalone Nexus architectures to advanced VXLAN Fabric-based ACI Fabric solutions utilizing ACI MultiPod and Multisite Fabric architectures. Participate in troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues within the data center environment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging data center networking technologies. Collaborate effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Technology (BS/BE/BTech) or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in a similar Data Center Network Engineer role. Strong technical knowledge and practical understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols and technologies, including VPC, STP, HSRP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. Significant hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platforms (2K, 5K, 7K, and 9K series) configuration and troubleshooting. Knowledge and understanding of overlay technologies such as VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OTV, and LISP. Familiarity with Cisco SDN based technologies, including Cisco ACI, Cisco Programmable Network Portfolio (Standalone VXLAN-Fabric), and DCNM. Experience in the design and/or deployment of Data Center solutions, including traditional standalone Nexus designs and VXLAN Fabric-based ACI Fabric solutions (ACI MultiPod / Multisite). Any relevant Data Center certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, VCP, etc., are considered a plus. First point of contact for support of any alarm/event/KPI related issues. Close Collaboration with Field Team for all field activities (Hardware failures, Node unreachable etc.).
