Job Summary

L2/L3 Protocol & Firmware Development Engineer

Networking protocols
Switching protocol development
Firmware engineering
C programming and data structures

This role involves developing embedded networking software and firmware for high-performance systems.

Mandatory Skills

Experience in
switching protocol development
(STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN, LLDP)
Strong proficiency in
C programming
and
data structures
Hands-on experience in
firmware development
for embedded platforms
Knowledge of
Layer 3 protocols
: ARP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, IPv4/IPv6
Familiarity with
TCP/IP stack
,
OSI model
, and
networking fundamentals
Experience with
Linux networking
,
embedded systems
, and
protocol stack integration
Proficient in
Wireshark
,
tcpdump
, and other packet analysis tools

Responsibilities

Design and develop L2/L3 switching and routing protocols
Develop and maintain firmware for embedded networking devices
Optimize protocol performance and ensure standards compliance (IEEE/IETF)
Collaborate with hardware, QA, and software teams for integration and validation
Debug and resolve protocol and firmware issues
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and documentation
