The role of an expert capacity planner at Ensono requires a deep understanding of the Mainframe environment. Responsibilities include managing mainframe client accounts to optimize processing performance, offering consultation to technical principals, authoring white papers, mentoring planners, and participating in seminars. The capacity planner is also responsible for developing capacity and performance analytics, forecasting future demand, and providing recommendations to enhance mainframe compute performance. Additionally, the planner collaborates with other technologies such as storage and network to support client environments. **Job Responsibilities** - Possess extensive Mainframe experience including z-Series, zOS operating system, architecture, design, and peripheral systems. - Utilize Mainframe scripting/programming skills with JCL and other coding languages. - Demonstrate proficiency in statistical and analytical applications like SAS, MXG, BMC, zpc3000, etc. - Utilize Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting. - Manage multiple projects independently with changing priorities. - Provide advice, consultation, and support to diverse client environments. - Communicate effectively to large audiences, including industry senior technical personnel and executive leadership. - Occasionally provide weekend support and participate in on-call rotation. - Identify and define KPIs, develop client forecasting models, and troubleshoot system performance issues. - Mentor associates, provide technical consultation, and share knowledge within the organization. - Lead high complexity assignments, establish relationships with teams, and support partners. - Analyze system performance parameters and provide technical expertise for client activities. - Develop automation solutions, perform analytic modeling, and stay updated on emerging technologies. **Experience** - Minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5 years with a Master's degree, or equivalent work experience. **Good To Have Skills** - Understanding of the competitive Mainframe landscape from both business and technical perspectives.
