Key Responsibilities: Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for food items, packaging, and ingredients. Procure snacks, pulses, rice, masalas, and other Indian food varieties as per quality and quantity requirements. Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to get the best value for money. Maintain optimum stock levels by coordinating with the production and inventory teams. Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery from suppliers. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards. Maintain all procurement records including POs, invoices, and contracts. Coordinate with accounts for timely payment processing. Stay updated on market trends, prices, and new product sources. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field. 2+ years of purchasing experience in FMCG, food, or snacks industry preferred. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Good knowledge of food product categories and sourcing practices. Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and vendor auditing. Proficient in MS Excel, Tally or ERP software (preferred). Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
