As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for conducting independent and collaborative research in the field of Cognitive Robotics, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, and Neuro-Symbolic Artificial Intelligence. This role provides an opportunity for you to enhance your expertise and contribute to scholarly research activities both nationally and internationally. Your responsibilities will include writing scientific papers and reports for international journals, participating in conferences and workshops, and engaging with industry partners. Reporting to Professor Maurice Pagnucco, Deputy Dean (Education) of the Faculty of Engineering, this position does not involve directly managing any reports. The salary for this role is at Level A, ranging from AUD$113,911 to $121,838 per annum, with an additional 17% superannuation. This is a full-time position on a fixed-term contract for 3 years, based in Kensington, Sydney, Australia. You will develop and implement a comprehensive content taxonomy strategy that aligns with business goals and user needs. This includes defining content types, metadata schemas, and controlled vocabularies to support content creation, management, and retrieval. Establishing guidelines and best practices for content tagging and classification will also be part of your responsibilities. Working closely with the content management platform team, you will integrate ontologies and taxonomies into the platform's architecture and functionality.
