As a Full-stack Developer with a focus on Backend/API in the Pratt & Whitney digital team, you will be involved in building a secure and scalable material management platform using React.js, Node.js/Express, and MS SQL. Your responsibilities will include developing backend APIs, supporting frontend UI, and contributing to deployment and documentation. In the backend aspect, you will build secure REST APIs with JWT & bcrypt, apply middleware such as Joi/Zod for validation, error handling, and logging, utilize Sequelize/Prisma/Knex.js for database integration and migrations, implement security measures like rate limiting, Helmet, and CORS, and create OpenAPI-compliant documentation. For the frontend tasks, you will be responsible for developing UIs using React 18+ along with Hooks and Redux Toolkit/Context API, styling with MUI/TailwindCSS, managing forms using React Hook Form + Yup, integrating APIs with Axios while handling tokens, and writing tests with Jest & RTL. Additionally, you will be involved in supporting the CI/CD setup and deployment, collaborating in Agile teams for sprints, reviews, and documentation. The key requirements for this role include having 3-5 years of full-stack experience with a backend-heavy focus, proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, React.js, and SQL (MS SQL preferred), understanding of Git workflows, REST API architecture, and security best practices. Preferred qualifications for the role include a Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering, experience with CI/CD, Docker, Agile methodologies, API documentation, and backup strategies.
