Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: F To report to duty on time to the concerned transport clerk. F To clean the stretchers and wheel chairs. F To carry errand cards while leaving from transport area to the concerned patient areas after receiving message from the transport clerk. F To shift the patient from one ward to another, to make sure that the concerned nurse or ward secretary signs the CTS errand card. F To inform the concerned staff, i.e. the nurses, ward secretaries about the arrival of transport. F To shift the patient to the respective areas in a very gentle and safe manner. F Two transport staff one person in the front and one person in the back should accompany the stretcher patient. F Accessories such as oxygen cylinder and IV stand to be attached to the stretcher as and when required. F To shift patients to the wards or for investigations as and when the need arises. F To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives. F To be aware of departments performance and objective. F To carryout data collection/support in data collection. F To adhere to the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient and staff safety rules. F To perform any job/task as and when assigned by the superior. F To ensure MIS on monthly basis i.e. inventory level, goods consumed, stock-out / rejection if any, capital goods received and half yearly/yearly MIS i.e., ABC details, FSN Status of stock held etc. F To handle rejection of material and sort it out. F To monitor and ensure goods sent on Returnable goods Gate Pass are received back. F To ensure physical stock verification is done on monthly basis and verify with book stocks and report handle excess/shortage to HOD. F To ensure optimum/minimum inventory is held and inventory control is strictly exercised without any suffering of hospital operations. F To forecast the material need of hospital and avoid rush/cash purchases. F To study and analyze the consumption pattern and value on monthly basis and find out reasons for variance then budgeted value. F To control/minimize and stock out and by sharing with purchase and keeping a watch at stock movement. F To ensure stocks are preserved safely and issued on need properly.
