Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in core ERP modules, hands-on experience with API and EDI integrations, and a consultative mindset for delivering scalable, automated business solutions. D365 & EDI combined Hands on experience would be nice. You will be responsible for aligning Finance, Inventory, Sales, and Procurement workflows in Business Central to business objectives, ensuring maximum value from the ERP platform. Key Responsibilities ERP Functional Consulting Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of D365 Business Central modules: Finance, Inventory, Sales, and Purchasing. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional specifications. Conduct gap-fit analysis to recommend effective and scalable solutions. Configure workflows, user roles, approval hierarchies, and security settings. Integrations & Automation Partner with technical teams to deliver API-based integrations with third-party systems (REST, OData, SOAP). Support EDI integrations for core transactions: Purchase Orders (850), Invoices (810), ASNs, and Order Acknowledgements. Develop and deploy Power Automate workflows for key business processes (e.g., PO approvals, vendor confirmations). Inventory & Procurement Process Design Configure real-time inventory tracking with support for multiple units of measure (e.g., each, box, package). Implement automated purchase order generation based on demand trends and replenishment rules. Support demand forecasting, master planning, and reconciliation processes. Reporting & Documentation Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements Build and maintain dashboards and analytics in Power BI. Create and maintain functional specifications, test cases, SOPs, and training documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications 5–7 years of experience as a Functional Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV). Strong expertise in Finance, Inventory, Sales, and Procurement modules. Solid understanding of supply chain, order-to-cash, and procure-to-pay processes. Proven experience with API and EDI integrations between ERP and external systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform—especially Power Automate and Power BI. Skilled in facilitating workshops, documenting requirements, and managing UAT cycles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Good to Have Certification: Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate. Experience with omnichannel commerce, ERP-to-portal integrations, or 3PL/warehouse management systems. Exposure to advanced inventory automation, exception handling, and discrepancy management.
