Exposure to EV motor design or engineering is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD, CATIA). Collaborate with program managers and engineering teams to define product requirements and specifications. Perform design validation through feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing. Conduct engineering analyses, including stress, thermal, and tolerance analysis, to ensure product robustness and reliability. Create and review detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Support the manufacturing process during prototyping and production phases by resolving technical issues. Apply Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) principles to optimize cost, quality, and ease of production. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and root cause analyses. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality requirements. Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 3 year to 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive or related industries. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Creo, AutoCAD, or CATIA. Strong foundation in engineering principles, material selection, and manufacturing processes. Experience with FEA tools and simulation techniques is a plus. Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Familiarity with EV motor design or engineering is an advantage.
