Job Description We are looking for a Specialist Embedded Hardware Engineer with advanced technical expertise in embedded electronics to design, develop, and optimize cutting-edge embedded systems. This role demands deep knowledge of circuit design, PCB development, and integration with embedded software, along with strong hands-on experience in debugging and hardware validation. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop robust embedded hardware systems, including analog/digital circuitry, microcontrollers, power management, and communication interfaces. Develop and review schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using tools like Fusion 360, Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCad. Lead board bring-up, hardware validation, and debugging at the component and system level. Perform detailed electrical simulations, signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis. Interface with firmware/software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration. Evaluate and select electronic components for performance, cost, and long-term availability. Conduct EMC/EMI testing and ensure designs meet industry certifications and compliance (e.g., CE, FCC, UL, ISO). Support production engineering in transitioning prototypes to mass production with reliable DFM/DFT practices. Maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, BOMs, test plans, and reports. Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards The role is based in our office in Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working. To achieve these goals, Bachelor's or master’s degree in electronic engineering or related field. 8+ years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware design and development. Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded microcontrollers/processors. Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools. Deep knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet). Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, logic analyzers). Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues. Strong communication and documentation skills. Experience with high-speed signal design and analysis. Background in safety-critical or regulated industries. Familiarity with reliability testing (HALT, HASS), and environmental compliance standards (RoHS, REACH). Qualifications Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field. PCB Design: Create detailed PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle, KiCad). Battery Management: Design and implement battery management solutions, including SoC (State of Charge) and SoH (State of Health) estimation, and thermal management. Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes, conduct testing, and validate designs to ensure performance, safety, and reliability. Automotive Standards Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (functional safety) and ISO 21434 (cybersecurity).
