As a Software Functional Safety Engineer , you will be part of the Software Engineering department, supporting the development of software products through their full life cycle by following functional safety processes. You will primarily work on automotive products and develop work products compliant with ISO 26262 standards. Role & responsibilities Define and cascade functional safety goals and requirements in adherence to ISO 26262. Develop safety-related documentation including safety plan, safety case, item definitions, HARAs, FTAs, DFMEAs, etc. Ensure all safety requirements are defined, complete, and traceable through verification and validation. Work with independent reviewers to audit and ensure functional safety compliance. Collaborate with systems, electrical, control software, and test teams from concept phase to production. Support development of hazard and risk analyses, functional and technical safety requirements, and robust verification and validation plans.
