Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating closely with product owners, various technology and business leads across Morningstar to drive and implement cross-team technical projects. An essential aspect of your role will be your proficiency in Scrum Agile methodologies, including conducting Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Sprint reviews. You are expected to excel in critical thinking throughout the project management cycle, imparting project management knowledge to others, and consistently seeking enhancements and efficiencies during the data collection process. This position is based at our Mumbai office. Your responsibilities will include conceptualizing, defining, and overseeing technology projects from inception to completion, working closely with development and business teams. You will actively participate in estimations alongside tech and business teams, utilizing standard templates. Communication and tracking of project progress to cross-functional teams will be a key aspect to ensure overall success. It will be your duty to monitor the progress of multiple projects against schedule, within budget, and meeting high-quality standards. Furthermore, you will be tasked with defining, managing, and refining the development process, as well as mentoring and educating team members and peers in project management methods and best practices. You will be instrumental in driving change where necessary to core operational processes, adapting to evolving client needs and competing priorities. Additionally, you will oversee major and minor platform releases globally, gather and share crucial lessons learned, and assist global teams in managing schedules and resources efficiently. Effective communication of objectives and updates to key stakeholders is paramount in this role. The ideal candidate for this position should possess over 10 years of overall Project Management experience, with 3-5 years leading projects in Java or .NET, JavaScript, and MS SQL/Oracle/MySQL, including a minimum of five years in large-scale system project management. A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in working with Scrum methodology as a Scrum Master is required, along with familiarity with Kanban methodology. Experience in cloud computing and open source technologies will be considered advantageous. You should have a background in planning, executing, and monitoring Sprints of at least two weeks, and be well-versed in agile planning techniques like poker planning. Proficiency in reporting fortnightly and monthly project statuses to stakeholders is essential. As a self-starter, you should be comfortable implementing and executing Agile development processes and taking responsibility for project completion. Previous experience as a technical lead or development manager is highly desirable, along with proficiency in dealing with code, batch scripts, databases, and servers. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and management skills are a must, and experience using issue tracking software is preferred.
