The Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager Production will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations of magnetic core components, ensuring optimal output, quality, and cost-efficiency. You will be required to manage teams, coordinate with cross-functional departments, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing practices, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities for magnetic core manufacturing (e.g., toroidal, ferrite cores). Ensure production targets (volume, quality, and timelines) are met efficiently. Monitor machine utilization and optimize production workflows. Identify process bottlenecks and implement lean manufacturing and Kaizen practices. Assist in process development and standardization for winding, annealing, coating, and testing of magnetic cores. Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018, and customer-specific quality standards. Supervise and train operators and junior staff on best practices, SOPs, and safety protocols. Coordinate with the stores and planning department for raw material availability. Work with the maintenance team to ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance is timely conducted. Maintain daily production reports, downtime analysis, and KPI. Prepare monthly reports on productivity, yield, and resource utilization. Required Qualifications and Skill-sets Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. Experience: 8-10 years in a manufacturing industry, preferably magnetic cores, transformers, inductors. Communication or leadership skills. Other skills considered as a plus - Excellence Analytical Skills, Collaborative approach, People management skills, Decision-making ability. Ensure production targets (output, quality, timelines) are met for both uPVC and aluminium product lines. Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for smooth workflow. 2. Fabrication & Assembly Oversight: Supervise all fabrication processes: cutting, welding, corner cleaning, hardware fixing, and glazing. Ensure strict adherence to technical specifications of systems Optimize layout and machinery usage for efficient workflow. 3. Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards at all stages of production. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and inspection protocols. Conduct root-cause analysis for production defects and implement corrective measures. 4. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of supervisors,fabricators, and technicians. Conduct skill assessments and training programs. Assign tasks and monitor workforce productivity. 5. Inventory & Material Management: Coordinate with the purchase department to ensure timely availability of profiles, glass, hardware, and accessories. Monitor usage and minimize material wastage. 6. Compliance & Safety: Enforce compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and factory norms. Maintain documentation for audits and certifications. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong technical knowledge of uPVC systems and high-end aluminium systems Ability to read and interpret fabrication/shop drawings. Proficiency in using production management tools, systems. Leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills. Quality control, lean manufacturing, and Kaizen practices. Education & Experience: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Civil Engineering or relevant field. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in window/door fabrication and production, with at least 3 years in a managerial role . Prior experience with Schco, Reynaers, or similar systems is mandatory .
