ob Summary: The Social Studies Teacher (IGCSE) will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum. The teacher will foster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and global awareness among students, preparing them for examinations and real-world citizenship. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured lessons that meet the Cambridge IGCSE standards for Social Studies / Global Perspectives /Economics / Business Studies (as applicable). Use a variety of instructional strategies to promote active learning and critical analysis. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Incorporate technology, projects, and experiential learning methods to enhance classroom engagement Prepare students for internal assessments, mock exams, and the final IGCSE examinations. Curriculum & Assessment Design and update lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments in line with IGCSE objectives. Evaluate and analyse student performance data to identify areas for improvement. Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance. Classroom Management Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Enforce school rules and manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies. Collaboration & Professionalism Work collaboratively with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and whole-school initiatives. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences. Contribute to co-curricular activities, school events, and community projects when required. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field (Masters degree preferred). Teaching certification or qualification (B.Ed / PGCE / equivalent). Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience , preferably with Cambridge IGCSE or international curricula . Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Familiarity with digital teaching tools and blended learning platforms.
