Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Tailor to join our production team. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional cutting skills and a comprehensive understanding of garment construction for both ethnic and contemporary ladies' wear. This role requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to interpret and execute complex designs from sketches or patterns. Key Responsibilities Cutting & Drafting - Execute precise fabric cutting for all garments based on patterns and individual client measurements, minimizing material waste. Check and prepare patterns for various sizes and styles, ensuring accuracy before cutting. Maintain meticulous records of client measurements and garment specifications. Garment Construction - Master the full construction process for a diverse range of Indian ladies' garments, including (but not limited to): Lehengas, Anarkalis, and Shararas Sarees and Blouses (especially padded/designer blouses) Salwar Kameez and modern Kurti styles Master the full construction process for Western ladies' garments, including (but not limited to): Dresses, Gowns, and Skirts Trousers and designer Blouses/Tops Jackets and structured garments Ensure all final products meet stringent quality standards regarding stitching, finishing, lining, and fit. Quality Control & Teamwork - Oversee junior tailors or karigars, providing guidance and constructive feedback on stitching techniques and quality. Collaborate closely with the design and fitting teams to ensure the final garment matches the client's vision and fit requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience as a Master Tailor, preferably in a premium boutique or fashion house setting. Cutting Expertise: Demonstrated expert-level ability in fabric cutting, pattern reading, and garment construction for complex designs. Specialization: Proven expertise in handling both heavy, traditional fabrics (for Indian wear) and delicate, modern materials (for Western wear). Precision: Exceptional attention to detail in stitching, pressing, and finishing. Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Bareilly, UP.
