The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Kafka clusters to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters in production and development environments. Monitor Kafka systems using appropriate tools and proactively respond to issues. Set up Kafka topics, manage partitions, and define data retention policies. Perform upgrades and patch management for Kafka and its components. Collaborate with application teams to ensure seamless Kafka integration. Troubleshoot and resolve Kafka-related production issues. Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Kafka Administrator to manage, monitor, and optimize our Apache Kafka infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, scalability, and performance of Kafka clusters, supporting our real-time data streaming needs. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters in production and non-production environments. Monitor cluster health, performance, and capacity using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Confluent Control Center. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for Kafka-related incidents. Manage Kafka topics, partitions, brokers, and consumer groups. Implement and maintain Kafka security (SSL, SASL, Kerberos authentication, ACLs). Plan and execute Kafka upgrades, patching, and migrations. Collaborate with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Development teams for integration and optimization. Maintain disaster recovery plans, backups, and cluster scaling strategies. Ensure high availability and data integrity in streaming pipelines. Required Skills & Qualifications: 2-6 years of hands-on experience as a Kafka Administrator or similar role. Strong expertise in Kafka architecture, Zookeeper, and related components. Experience with Confluent Kafka platform preferred. Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration. Knowledge of Shell scripting, Python, or Ansible for automation. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kafka deployment on Kubernetes is a plus.
