As a Senior Network Engineer at Equiniti Group, you will be responsible for a combination of implementation/installation and operational support for the network estate and Data Centres. Working with multi-vendor technologies such as switches (IOS and NX-OS, Junos), routers (ASRs and ISRs), and firewalls (ASA-X, Juniper, and Checkpoint UTM SPLAT), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the network infrastructure. Demonstrating Infrastructure as code and experience with load-balancing technologies such as F5 and KEMP, as well as DNS platforms, will further enhance your capabilities. As the Technical Network Engineer at UKG, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing UKG's data network infrastructure, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, network taps, load balancers (both physical and virtual), and public cloud networking. You will be expected to provide sound problem determination and resolution, document methodologies, execute hardware and software installations, and perform performance tuning and recovery tasks. Additionally, you will be required to improve existing processes, innovate new solutions, and create enhancements to policies related to network management. Your role will involve procuring, tracking, and renewing SSL certificates issued by Trusted CAs, as well as maintaining clear and accurate documentation of network topologies, standards, and regulatory compliance. You will also be part of an on-call rotation and may need to work on projects outside normal working hours. As a Technical Network Engineer, you will troubleshoot network issues using packet analysis tools and other standard network tools, coordinating with domain architects when necessary. You will follow routine operational tasks such as device backups, code management, configuration compliance, reporting, and performance management while adhering to security policies and standards. Moreover, you will be responsible for working on project tasks related to provisioning, break-fix, enhancement, and new initiatives while maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting all migration and changes to the environments. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of technical network engineering experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Public Cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS) and IaC Tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Previous experience with change management procedures, highly available infrastructure, distributed multi-data center SaaS environments, and technologies like Cisco, Juniper, and F5 is necessary. You should also possess knowledge of routing concepts and protocols, LAN switching internetworking, Next Generation Firewalls, tunnelling technologies, load balancing strategies, and application switching/traffic management. Preferred qualifications and skills include certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, as well as experience with network management and monitoring systems, WAN connectivity, and infrastructure security aspects. Engineer should have hands of experience on Cisco(6500, Nexus 5K, 7K, 9K, 2K), Arista(7280, 7508s, etc.) and Juniper devices. Must be good with routing protocols(BGP, EIGRP and OSPF), VPC, switching, VRF, ACL, HSRP, VRRP, SNMP, DHCP NXOS upgrade, L1/L2 troubleshooting. He should be able to work on projects individually and should be able to design and implement the designs according to the standards. Below are some of the projects that engineer is required to work on:New switch/router deployment in IP fabric environment. Replacement of EOL devices (router/switches (Cisco, Nexus devices, etc.) ACL/Routing Changes Decommissioning of routers/switches BAU requests for switchport provisioning, PVLANs, etc. Hardware knowledge: knowledge about transceivers, switches, cabling is required. Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Visio, Word and Excel. Experience with Bluecoat is desirable but not essential. Strong IT/Technical skills (understanding of software, hardware, networks, etc) Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Process-oriented individual with strong attention to detail, and strong organizational skills Ability to build consensus. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
