Network Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation:

  Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of complex network solutions utilizing Juniper routers (e.g., MX Series, SRX Series) and switches (e.g., EX Series, QFX Series).

• Configuration & Management:

  Configure, manage, and optimize Juniper network devices, including setting up routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, ISIS), switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, MC-LAG, EVPN-VXLAN), and high availability features.

• Network Performance & Monitoring:

  Monitor network performance, analyze traffic patterns, and identify bottlenecks. Implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

• Network Security:

  Implement and manage network security features on Juniper platforms, including firewall filters, VPNs, and access control lists, to protect network infrastructure and data.

• Troubleshooting & Resolution:

  Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network incidents, connectivity issues, and performance degradation across Juniper environments.

• Capacity Planning & Optimization:

  Conduct network capacity planning, evaluate current and future network requirements, and recommend upgrades or enhancements.

• Automation (Plus):

  Contribute to network automation efforts using scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) for configuration management and operational tasks on Juniper devices.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with other IT teams (e.g., server, security, application development) to support various projects and ensure seamless network integration.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Juniper Expertise:

  Strong hands-on experience with

  Juniper routers and switches

• Junos OS Proficiency:

  In-depth knowledge of

  Junos Operating System

  configuration, troubleshooting, and best practices.

• Routing & Switching Protocols:

  Expert-level understanding of core routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, ISIS) and switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, VRRP, link aggregation).

• Network Security:

  Familiarity with network security concepts and their implementation on Juniper devices (e.g., SRX firewalls, VPNs).

• Analytical & Problem-Solving:

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex network issues.

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders.

• Certifications (Plus):

  Industry-recognized Juniper certifications (e.g., JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-Routing and Switching, JNCIP-Service Provider/Enterprise, JNCIE-SP/Enterprise) are highly desirable.

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
