A Juniper Mist Wireless Engineer is responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing wireless networks using Junipers Mist AI-driven platform. This role combines deep technical expertise in wireless networking with the ability to leverage AI tools for proactive network assurance and automation. Key Responsibilities Network Deployment & Configuration: Implement and configure Mist wireless solutions, including Wi-Fi 6/6E access points, Mist Edge, and integration with Juniper EX switches. AI-Driven Operations: Utilize Mist’s Marvis AI to monitor network performance, automate troubleshooting, and proactively resolve issues. Performance Optimization: Conduct RF planning and tuning, manage channel assignments, and ensure optimal wireless coverage and capacity. Security Management: Implement wireless security protocols such as WPA2/3, 802.1X, and RADIUS, ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Collaboration & Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT support and engineering, to address network issues and implement enhancements. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and performance metrics. Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Expertise: Proficiency in wireless networking concepts, including 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, and WLAN lifecycle management. Juniper Mist Experience: Hands-on experience with Juniper Mist AI platform, including configuration and management of wireless networks. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as JNCIS-MistAI-Wireless or JNCIA-MistAI are highly desirable . Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze network performance data and make informed decisions to enhance network efficiency. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Experience Multi-Vendor Environments: Experience working in environments with multiple networking vendors, integrating Juniper Mist solutions with existing infrastructure. Role-2: Juniper Wireless Engineer Key Roles & Responsibilities: Provide operational support for Juniper Mist-based wireless infrastructure across enterprise sites. Handle incident tickets, service requests, and problem resolutions related to wireless networks. Perform wireless system patching, firmware upgrades, and general health monitoring. Analyse wireless performance issues including coverage, signal quality, and roaming. Support planning and implementation of access point (AP) deployments and small wireless projects. Assist with configuration changes, SSID setup, and integration with network authentication systems. Document wireless network architecture, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Collaborate with LAN and security teams to ensure end-to-end wireless connectivity. Coordinate with OEM/vendor support teams for resolving hardware or software issues. Required Skills & Qualifications: 36 years of experience supporting enterprise wireless solutions, preferably with Juniper Mist . Solid understanding of WLAN technologies, including 802.11 standards, RF fundamentals, and Wi-Fi design principles . Hands-on experience with Mist Dashboard, access point provisioning, and configuration . Knowledge of wireless security (WPA2/WPA3, RADIUS/802.1X), and wireless QoS . Familiarity with wireless troubleshooting tools (Wi-Fi analysers, RF scanners, etc.). Experience with performing wireless surveys or analysing heatmaps (predictive or physical) . Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs) . Ability to work independently and manage operational tasks effectively.
