Junior Web Designer

As a Junior Web Designer at our company, you will be responsible for assisting in designing and developing clean, modern, and responsive websites using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Your role will involve customizing WordPress themes, managing page layouts, updating and maintaining existing websites, and collaborating with design and content teams to create various web assets. Additionally, you will be optimizing web pages for mobile responsiveness, speed, and SEO basics, while staying updated with the latest tools and trends in web design. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in designing and developing responsive websites using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Customize WordPress themes and manage page layouts using popular builders like Elementor or Divi. - Update and maintain existing websites, ensuring smooth functionality and visual consistency. - Work closely with the design and content teams to create landing pages, banners, and marketing assets. - Optimize web pages for mobile responsiveness, speed, and SEO basics. - Test websites across browsers and devices to ensure proper performance. - Learn and stay updated with new tools, plugins, and trends in web design. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Basic knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery. - Understanding of responsive web design and layout principles. - Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop. - Good sense of color, typography, and visual hierarchy. - Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies. - Basic understanding of SEO and website performance optimization is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: - Internship or freelance experience in web design or WordPress development. - Knowledge of Bootstrap or other front-end frameworks. - Basic exposure to PHP or MySQL for WordPress customization. - Familiarity with Google Analytics and Search Console tools. Education: - Bachelors degree or diploma in Web Design, Computer Science, IT, or related field. - Candidates with relevant certification courses or strong portfolios are also encouraged to apply.
