As a Systems Administrator at BC forward , you will be a key player in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. You will take on a leadership role in managing and optimizing our systems, providing high-level support, and driving technological improvements. Your responsibilities will include: Tier 2 and Tier 3 Support : Providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex hardware, software, and network issues. Serving as an escalation point for junior administrators and support staff. Leading root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions for recurring problems. System and Network Administration: Managing and maintaining servers, networks, and data centers to ensure high availability and performance. Performing regular system and network audits to identify and mitigate potential risks. Implementing and managing network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs. Cloud Infrastructure : Designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Optimizing cloud resources for performance, cost efficiency, and security. Implementing and managing hybrid cloud solutions and integrations. Security Management: Leading the implementation and management of enterprise security tools such as Microsoft Defender and SentinelOne. Conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability scans. Developing and enforcing security policies and procedures to protect company assets. Software and Application Management: Administering and optimizing Office365/M365, InTune, and Mimecast environments. Managing software deployments, updates, and configurations. Ensuring software license compliance and managing vendor relationships. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Developing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans and procedures. Ensuring data backup integrity and performing regular recovery drills. Coordinating business continuity efforts to minimize downtime during incidents. Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. Generating regular reports on system performance, security status, and project progress. Contributing to the development of knowledge base articles and technical guides. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Mentoring and guiding junior administrators and support staff. Leading projects and initiatives to improve IT infrastructure and services. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business goals. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation. Staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance IT operations. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 5-7 years of experience in systems administration or a related role. Technical Skills: Office365/M365: Advanced administration, including user and group management, mailbox migration, and troubleshooting Exchange Online issues. Proficient in SharePoint Online administration, including site creation, permission management, and customization. Expertise in Microsoft Teams configuration, integration, and management. In-Tune : Expert in deploying, configuring, and managing Microsoft InTune for MDM and MAM. Implementing security policies and compliance settings for mobile and desktop devices. Experience in application deployment, monitoring, and reporting within InTune. Defender: Advanced configuration and management of Microsoft Defender ATP for endpoint protection. Experience in threat detection, investigation, and response using Defender. Proficient in managing security policies and compliance across various devices. Sentinel One: Deep understanding of Sentinel One EDR capabilities. Proficient in configuring and managing Sentinel One for real-time threat detection and automated response. Experience in analyzing security incidents and implementing remediation strategies. Mimecast: Extensive experience with Mimecast administration, including email security, archiving, and continuity. Configuring policies for spam filtering, malware protection, and data loss prevention. Managing user access and permissions within Mimecast. Azure : Advanced knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions. Proficient in deploying and managing virtual machines, Azure AD, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery. Experience with Azure networking, including virtual networks, VPN gateways, and load balancers. KnowBe4: Managing and implementing security awareness training programs using KnowBe4. Conducting phishing simulations and tracking user performance. Creating custom training content and monitoring compliance. Operating Systems: Proficient in Windows Server administration, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Experience with Linux server administration, including system updates, package management, and shell scripting. Networking: Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, subnetting, routing, and switching. Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN configurations, and network security best practices. Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting using tools like Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds. Virtualization: Advanced skills with VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, including virtual machine deployment, management, and migration. Experience with storage management, SAN/NAS configurations, and high availability setups. Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python for task automation and process improvement. Developing and maintaining automation scripts for routine tasks and system management. Backup and Recovery: Strong knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Cohesity, Druva, Azure Backup, and traditional tape backups. Implementing and managing backup schedules, performing regular recovery tests, and ensuring data integrity. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong leadership and project management abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
