Junior Software Developer in Test

As a Software Developer in Test Engineer at Apple, you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and certifying applications to ensure high quality standards are consistently maintained. Your contributions will directly impact the customer experience by testing features, conducting various tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality. **Key Responsibilities:** - Understand both new and existing feature implementations. - Create test scenarios, scripts, and plans. - Conduct UI, functional, performance, and stability testing. - Develop and review automation test scripts. - Identify and document defects, perform root cause analysis, and provide clear steps to reproduce. - Collaborate with different teams to ensure exceptional quality. - Contribute innovative ideas to enhance QE processes and drive improvements. **Minimum Qualifications:** - 1 to 2 years of experience in software quality engineering. - Proficiency in automation using Java and/or Swift. - Hands-on experience with JUnit/TestNG and/or XCTest, Playwright/Selenium, or other mobile automation tools. - Experience in testing API/Web Service, Web apps, or Mac/iOS/iPadOS native applications. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Proficiency in QE processes, tools, and metrics. - Familiarity with Maven/Gradle and Git repositories. - Solid understanding of software build tools, CI/CD integrations, deployment processes, and code quality checking tools. - Ability to analyze logs for error identification and root cause analysis. - Experience with load/performance testing using JMeter/Gatling. - Knowledge of applying AI/ML technologies in testing. - Familiarity with Mac/Unix commands and bash scripting. - Experience in automation for iPhone/Mac (Swift and XCTest) platform. - Strong understanding of automation framework architecture, design, and development. - Background in working within an Agile development environment. - Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines. - Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts in context. - Eagerness to learn and explore new technologies. - Self-motivated, independent, and proactive with excellent collaboration and organizational skills.
