Junior Project Fellow

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a post of Junior Project Fellow to carry out research studies under the research project sanctioned by the National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS). The project titled "Roots Renewed: Empowering Uttarkashi Towards Advancing Sustainable Frameworks" requires a Junior Project Fellow to contribute to the research activities. The essential qualification for this position is an M.Sc. in Sustainability/Chemistry/Materials Science/ Polymer Science with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade. Additionally, candidates with six months of experience in the relevant field will be preferred. The selected candidate will receive an emolument of Rs. 24,000/- + HRA (18%) per month for the first and second year, and Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for the third year of the project. The duration of the project is 3 years, and the appointment will be reviewed annually. Deserving Project Fellows may also be considered for the Ph.D. program at UPES, subject to institute norms.
