As a Test Engineer at HARMAN Automotive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, performance, and functionality of products through comprehensive testing procedures. Your responsibilities will include reviewing circuit designs, developing and optimizing test systems, analyzing test data, and providing insights to enhance product reliability and performance. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering and manufacturing processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and R&D, will be essential to ensure products meet the highest standards of excellence. In this role, you will review circuit board designs to ensure they meet testability requirements and provide support to manufacturing by conducting failure analysis, debugging test equipment, and minimizing intermittent failures and downtime. You will generate test reports, analyze test data, and prepare documentation with recommendations. Your expertise in TestStand and LabVIEW, as well as proficiency in vision development, image processing systems, C++, and PXI controllers, will be crucial for success in this role. Additionally, your understanding of CAN and LIN protocols and experience with RF testing will be valuable assets. To be successful in this role, you should apply your knowledge of electronic circuit analysis, utilize programming skills in LabVIEW, TestStand, C#, and VB, and work with various communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and MOST. Your ability to contribute to the development of test programs and software, operate and maintain test instruments, and interpret schematics will be key to your success. A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in EMS electronic manufacturing as a Test Engineer, is required. Strong communication skills and extensive experience in the testing domain are also essential.
