Description
As a Junior Developer in the Information Technology department at TMF Group, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to database management and application development. Your role will involve writing SQL queries, developing SQL databases, and performing CRUD operations. Additionally, you will work closely with other developers to optimize database systems for performance efficiency and contribute to database architecture and data warehousing. One of your key responsibilities will be implementing security measures to protect data, including managing user permissions and safeguarding sensitive information. You will also be involved in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving database issues to ensure the smooth operation of database systems. Collaboration with team members and stakeholders is essential, as you will contribute to team efforts and support the development of their skills. Furthermore, you will provide technical assistance and training to end-users to promote effective utilization of Analytical tools like Qlik Sense, Power BI, and more. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be necessary to align data analytics initiatives with business goals. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation is a key requirement for this role, along with a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Experience with programming languages such as Python and JavaScript is advantageous, along with familiarity with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential for success in this position. Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), NoSQL\NewSQL databases, and handling larger excel files will be beneficial.
