Junior Designer

Experience – Fresher or 1-year experience

Key Responsibilities –

1. Trend Research & Concept Development - Analysing current fashion trends,

consumer preferences, and market demands to develop innovative design

concepts

2. Sketching & Prototyping - Creating detailed sketches, technical drawings, and

specifications for new designs. This may involve working with pattern makers

and sample rooms to develop prototypes.

3. Material Selection - Selecting appropriate leathers, hardware, linings, and other

components, considering quality, durability, cost, and aesthetic appeal.

4. Collaboration -Working closely with product development, merchandising,

production, and sales teams to ensure designs are feasible and align with brand

vision and market needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications typically include-

• Strong portfolio showcasing creative design abilities and technical proficiency in leather goods.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD
• programs etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of various leather types, textile, materials, and hardware.
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques, pattern making, and construction of leather goods.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
• simultaneously.
• A degree in Fashion Design or a related field is often preferred.
