Junior Academic/Education Counsellor

About the Role:

Education Counsellor for Undergraduate College Applications

Key Responsibilities:

Student & Parent Engagement

• Counsel students and families on undergraduate and summer school opportunities in India and abroad
• Call and speak with prospective leads, students, and parents regularly
• Schedule and manage meetings with students, parents, and university/partner representatives

Application Support

• Guide students through their application processes: profile building, essays, SOPs, LORs, form filling, etc.
• Keep track of timelines, submissions, and deadlines
• Conduct basic interview prep and coordinate mock interviews

University & Partner Coordination

• Liaise with outreach teams and university representatives
• Coordinate university webinars, info sessions, and virtual visits
• Maintain updated records of conversations and partnerships

Research & Planning

• Conduct thorough research on programs, universities, and scholarships across countries
• Help students identify best-fit options aligned with academic and personal goals

Who You Are:

✅ 1–3 years of experience in academic counselling and international education

✅ Familiar with international UG application systems (UCAS, Common App, etc.)

✅ Excellent English communication skills (spoken & written)

✅ Comfortable speaking with parents, students, and university reps

✅ Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented

✅ Based in or willing to work from Kolkata (Hybrid role)

Bonus Point If You Have:

➕ Experience working in an education consultancy or high school environment

➕ Knowledge of student visa processes for major study destinations

➕ A background in Psychology, Education, or related fields
