Junior 2D Environment Artist

As a Junior Environment Artist at our company, you will play a crucial role in bringing color and atmosphere to our hand-drawn worlds for an indie action RPG. You will collaborate closely with our Senior Artist to enhance the 2D environment assets through coloring, shading, and polishing. **Responsibilities:** - Color and shade various environment assets such as backgrounds, props, and interactive elements using Clip Studio Paint. - Collaborate with the Senior Artist by working with provided lineart and concept sketches. - Ensure the visuals remain consistent throughout the game by following style guides and feedback. - Communicate effectively with the art team to prioritize tasks and meet project milestones. - Assist in simple asset preparation and clean-up tasks as required. **What We're Looking For:** - Demonstrated strong understanding of color, light, and mood in 2D art. - Showcase of colored or shaded 2D artwork in your portfolio (including school, personal, or fan projects). - Proficiency in Clip Studio Paint or a willingness to learn and adapt to the software. - Team player mentality with the ability to learn, follow directions, and communicate effectively. - (Bonus) Basic knowledge of file management for game engines would be advantageous, though not mandatory.
