Junior 2D Environment Artist

As a Junior Environment Artist, your role will involve bringing color and atmosphere to hand-drawn worlds for an indie action RPG. You will collaborate closely with our Senior Artist to color, shade, and polish 2D environment assets. Your responsibilities will include: - Color and shade environment assets such as backgrounds, props, and interactive elements using Clip Studio Paint. - Utilize lineart and concept sketches provided by the Senior Artist to ensure consistency with the overall style. - Follow style guides and incorporate feedback to maintain visual coherence throughout the game. - Collaborate with the art team to prioritize tasks and meet project milestones. - Assist in simple asset preparation and clean-up tasks as required. To excel in this role, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications: - Demonstrated proficiency in color theory, lighting, and creating mood in 2D art. - A portfolio showcasing colored or shaded 2D artwork, including school projects, personal pieces, or fan art. - Familiarity with Clip Studio Paint or a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools. - Strong team player attitude, open to learning, receiving direction, and communicating effectively. - (Bonus) Basic understanding of file management for game engines would be advantageous, though not mandatory.
