Tech Ops Engineer Internship (Mumbai) Candidates should be interested in working in Mumbai for their full-time job after graduation. About the Role: Our technology operations internship is an intensive 10-week experience with our frontline technology teams that are responsible for managing, monitoring, and improving the real-time trading environment at Jump Trading. You will be working directly with our experienced systems and network engineers, gaining broad technical and operational knowledge across all aspects of the trading platform and technology stack. Our internship program is the primary way we identify top young system engineers for our Technology Operations teams, paving the path toward earning full-time opportunities at Jump. We are looking for bright and highly motivated individuals that want to grow their knowledge of systems and networking, understanding of modern trading at scale, and practical DevOps-based software engineering skills. What you'll do: The Tech Ops Intern will work with traders, operations, exchanges, and developers to optimize the trading environment and investigate and solve system issues. Build automation to manage and improve the production trading environment Proactively monitor the overall health and performance of the trading platform Work closely with our world-class technology organization to: Analyze and troubleshoot complex system, software, and networking infrastructure issues Design, implement and optimize network infrastructure for proprietary low latency trading applications at various data centers throughout the world Work closely with risk management and trading teams to coordinate changes and manage incidents Manage and assess operational risk of change control into the production environment Define and document process and procedure Other duties as assigned or needed Skills you'll need: Major in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field Experience working with Linux/UNIX OS including advanced commands and shell scripts Practical working knowledge of Python Understanding of networking concepts such as routing, multicast, ethernet A rigorous, detail-oriented approach to operations Ability to operate and communicate clearly under pressure Desire to work in a collaborative, team environment with a positive can-do attitude Reliable and predictable availability Show more Show less

As part of Jump’s IT Helpdesk, you will work directly with our end users to provide advanced technical support. You will be part of a team tasked with maintaining and monitoring our desktop and laptop fleet, striving for uptime, efficiency and predictability. We want your help to ensure proper response times are met and issues are being resolved. What You’ll Do: Respond to telephone calls, email, and in-person requests for technical support. Document, track, and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Maintain and support desktop PCs, laptops, hardware, software and operating systems. Maintain and support virtual desktops (VDI), virtual servers and Citrix infrastructure Identify technical problems and conduct research to resolve these issues. Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripts. Manage and deploy software using SCCM. Administer and troubleshoot Intune configurations, scripts and compliance policies. Administer and troubleshoot JAMF policies and configurations Administer and troubleshoot VDI Infrastructure Other duties as assigned or needed Skills You’ll Need: At least 5 years of experience from within an IT helpdesk environment required Passion for technology Strong customer service skills Experience with SCCM for software deployment Proficiency in PowerShell scripting Knowledge of network principles and ability to troubleshoot basic network issues Knowledge of Intune for device management, including autopilot and configuration Prior experience with Windows 11, MacOS and Microsoft Office applications Experience supporting users in virtual desktop environments is a plus Strong IT troubleshooting techniques Ability to automate processes and improve efficiency Self-motivated and takes initiative. Strong work ethic Well-organized, with a keen eye for attention to detail Excellent written and spoken English communication skills Team player and desire to roll up your sleeves to assist where needed Reliable and predictable availability
