As a Senior Automation Engineer at NiCE, your role involves performing manual testing and building automation tests for front-end UI aspects, backend services, and databases, ensuring comprehensive testing of all aspects of a distributed system. You will have the opportunity to be part of a cross-functional, distributed Scrum team that develops and supports the product. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing testing to ensure adherence to standards such as security, scalability, and functional and non-functional requirements. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing API, automation, and integration tests for cloud or enterprise scale products, running manual tests, building automation test suites for regression and new features, and automating deployment and data generation. To excel in this role, you should hold a B.Tech in Computer Science, Industrial/Electronic Engineering, have at least 4 years of experience in IT as a Developer, Automation Engineer, or QA professional, with specific expertise in automation testing, UI automation testing, and web services automation testing. Proficiency in coding using software development or scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Python, along with experience in tools like Playwright, Selenium/Protractors, or equivalent UI testing tools will be beneficial. Knowledge of working with databases, writing SQL queries for data validation, and familiarity with defect management and tracking tools like Jira will be essential. Moreover, having experience in test design and execution for complex systems and a deep understanding of QA methodologies will be advantageous. You will have an advantage if you also possess knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, API testing tools like Postman, JSystem, Rest-assured, Ready API, and working knowledge of AWS.
