As an experienced PostgreSQL Developer at SolvEdge, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases to support high-performance applications in the healthcare sector. Your expertise in database development and optimization will contribute to delivering reliable and scalable data solutions. Collaborating with architects, backend engineers, and business analysts, you will ensure seamless data access through APIs and services, implement ETL processes, and translate business requirements into database logic. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing efficient PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, constraints, and relationships, developing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers, and optimizing complex queries for scalability and speed. You will create and maintain logical and physical data models based on business requirements, define data consistency standards, and implement validation rules to ensure data accuracy. Additionally, you will utilize tools for database versioning, automate database deployments within CI/CD pipelines, and monitor emerging PostgreSQL features for continuous improvement. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and possess 4-6 years of professional experience in PostgreSQL database development. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, exposure to microservices, and cloud-native applications is advantageous. Your primary skills should include strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and advanced SQL, expertise in performance tuning, schema design, data integration, JSON/JSONB, and ORMs like Sequelize, Hibernate, or SQLAlchemy. Secondary skills encompass working with cloud-based PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, NoSQL alternatives, CI/CD, DevOps, analytical skills, and effective communication.
