Jr. Video Editor

We are seeking a talented Video Editor with 1-3 years of experience in video editing and post-production to join our team. Your expertise in DaVinci Resolve is crucial as you will be responsible for crafting high-quality video content, performing colour grading, sound design, and delivering a polished final product. Collaborating closely with our production team, you will contribute to projects that support Prachyam's mission of celebrating Indic history and art. Your primary responsibilities will include transforming raw footage into professional videos that align with creative objectives, coordinating with directors, producers, and content teams for project coherence, and executing post-production tasks such as colour grading, sound editing, and visual effects using DaVinci Resolve. Efficiently managing and organizing video content to meet deadlines, incorporating feedback from the creative team and clients, staying abreast of industry trends, tools, and techniques for enhanced production quality, and utilizing dynamic visual editing techniques to support storytelling are also key aspects of this role. The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of professional experience in video editing, focusing on documentaries, films, or thematic content. Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is essential, along with a solid grasp of storytelling, pacing, and narrative structure. Experience in colour grading, sound design, and video post-production, the ability to thrive under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently, a keen interest in content related to Indian culture, history, and art, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail are highly valued qualities.
