Job Description: As an English Teacher and Class Teacher at Joy International School, you will be responsible for the holistic development of your assigned class. You will serve as both subject expert and pastoral guide, fostering a positive, inclusive, and academically stimulating classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that meet curriculum objectives and cater to diverse learning styles. Act as the main class teacher, responsible for the academic progress and well-being of students in your assigned class. Maintain effective classroom management and discipline to support a productive learning environment. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress regularly. Communicate with parents regarding academic, behavioral, and social progress. Organize class events, field trips, and other enrichment activities. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide meetings and initiatives. Foster moral values, discipline, and a love for learning among students. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) Teaching certification or license (as required by local regulations) Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably in an international or English-medium school Strong classroom management and organizational skills Passionate about education and child development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Use age-appropriate teaching methods to build conceptual understanding in areas such as algebra, geometry, arithmetic, mensuration, and data handling. Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and remedial support plans. Incorporate NEP 2020-aligned teaching strategies, focusing on inquiry-based and experiential learning. Provide constructive feedback and plan remedial classes for students needing additional support. Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment. Encourage student participation, curiosity, and peer collaboration. Ensure that school rules and behavioral expectations are upheld in and outside the classroom. Participate in staff meetings, subject department meetings, and school events. Coordinate with co-teachers and other subject teachers for integrated and interdisciplinary learning. Communicate regularly with parents through PTMs or official communication to discuss student progress. Maintain lesson records, student attendance, mark registers, and grade books. Assist in exam invigilation, question paper setting, and result preparation. Required Qualifications & Skills: Educational Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mathematics + B.Ed. (mandatory) Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of teaching mathematics at the middle or secondary level.
