You are a dynamic and experienced newsroom leader sought by Nai Dunia to join as the Deputy News Editor. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee day-to-day editorial operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate, impactful, and engaging news content across various platforms. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest journalistic standards while fostering innovation in content presentation and audience engagement. Your key responsibilities will include leading and managing the newsroom team in Noida, collaborating with input desks, sub-editors, and digital teams. It will be essential to ensure the production of factually accurate, timely, and high-quality news content across diverse sections such as MP, Chhattisgarh, National, Spiritual, Lifestyle, and digital-first formats. Your role will also involve exercising strong editorial judgment in story selection, headline writing, and editing to enhance clarity, accuracy, and readability. As Deputy News Editor, you will oversee real-time news monitoring and ensure swift and precise handling of breaking stories. Upholding and enforcing ethical journalism standards of the Dainik Jagran Group will be a key aspect of your role. Collaboration with the Editor on strategic planning, workflow optimization, and newsroom innovations will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be expected to mentor and guide the editorial team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and creativity within the newsroom. To be considered for this role, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field. A minimum of 12-14 years of newsroom experience, preferably with a strong digital media background, is required. You should possess proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. An exceptional command over the Hindi language, sharp news sense, and editorial acumen are essential qualifications for this position.
