The role involves ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical and electrical systems to support uninterrupted production processes. Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems of production machinery and equipment. • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical faults to ensure minimal downtime. • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance schedules to ensure equipment efficiency and compliance with safety standards. • Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, pumps, bearings, electrical circuits, and control systems. • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting operations. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment performance. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, SOPs, and company policies during maintenance tasks. • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery or upgrades. • For experienced candidates: Lead a team of technicians, provide technical guidance, and implement process improvements. • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in mechanical/electrical maintenance. Qualifications and Skills: • For Freshers: • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute. • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, gearboxes, conveyors) and electrical systems (e.g., motors, PLCs, control panels). • Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and troubleshooting techniques. • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. • Good communication and teamwork abilities. • For Experienced Candidates: • B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance (preferably in pharmaceutical or chemical industries). • Proven expertise in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems of industrial machinery. • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and other automation systems. • Ability to lead maintenance teams and manage spare parts inventory. • Knowledge of safety standards, GMP, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment. Additional Requirements: • Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergency breakdowns. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Physical fitness to handle on-site maintenance tasks. • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment is a plus. Responds to customer’s inquiries & complaints, interview customers, collect samples & report findings. Perform the most complex & difficult laboratory analysis, develop new methods & techniques of analysis & also oversee & participate in the preparation of Chemical Reagents.
