Job Title: Proposal Engineer Reports To: CEO Job Summary: As a Proposal Engineer at Nupros Inc., you will be a key technical and commercial interface for our clients in the oil and gas sector. Your primary responsibility will be to manage incoming inquiries for monolithic insulation joints , prepare accurate and compelling quotations, develop detailed technical specifications and design sheets tailored to pipeline applications, secure client approvals, and ensure seamless coordination with our production team for timely dispatches. Strong documentation skills and clear communication are paramount in this role. Key Responsibilities: Inquiry Management: Efficiently handle and understand incoming client inquiries for monolithic insulation joints for cross-country oil and gas pipelines. Quotation Generation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive commercial and technical quotations, ensuring all aspects, including material grades, pressure ratings, and testing requirements for MIJs , are accurately reflected. Technical Documentation: Create detailed specification data and design sheets for monolithic insulation joints based on client requirements (e.g., pipeline diameter, pressure class, coating compatibility) and Nupros' product capabilities. Client Approval & Follow-up: Submit technical and commercial proposals to clients for approval, address any technical queries related to MIJs , and follow up diligently to secure orders. Production Coordination: Liaise closely with the production team to ensure timely manufacturing and dispatch of monolithic insulation joints , keeping clients informed of progress and any potential changes. Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all inquiries, proposals, client communications, technical specifications, and order details related to MIJs . Communication: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients regarding monolithic insulation joints , effectively conveying complex technical information and building strong professional relationships. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petrochemical, or a related field). [X] years of experience in a proposals, sales, or technical support role within a heavy manufacturing, oil & gas, or pipeline components industry. Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and pipeline codes. Excellent documentation skills with a keen eye for detail in technical proposals. Exceptional communication skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and concisely to clients. Strong understanding of pipelines and flanges is a significant bonus, given the application of monolithic insulation joints. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively in a project-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, and specific requirements for pipeline components. Experience with CRM or ERP systems.
