Job Title: Social Studies Teacher Location: Sloka International School, Manneguda, Hyderabad Reporting to: Academic Coordinator / Principal Employment Type: Full-time Grade Levels: Middle (Grades 6) Job Summary: Sloka International School, Manneguda is looking for an experienced and passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our academic team. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. The role involves fostering a strong understanding of social, political, and environmental issues and encouraging critical thinking among students. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons as per the curriculum (CBSE). Integrate a variety of instructional strategies, including activity-based learning, digital tools, and real-life applications. Prepare lesson plans, assessments, projects, and assignments that align with learning objectives. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry. Evaluate and document students' progress through regular assessments, classwork, and participation. Guide students in developing skills such as critical thinking, debate, analysis of current affairs, and map reading. Organize and support co-curricular activities such as quiz competitions, model UN, social awareness campaigns, and exhibitions. Maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Collaborate with other subject teachers and academic coordinators to ensure holistic development. Attend school meetings, training programs, parent-teacher meetings, and school events as required. Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related field. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory. Experience: 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school. Freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply. The role involves preparing lab materials, assisting during practical sessions, maintaining lab safety, and ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly managed. This position is essential for delivering hands-on, practical science education to students. Key Responsibilities: Lab Preparation: Set up equipment and materials required for physics, chemistry, and biology experiments as per teacher instructions. Support in Practical Classes: Assist teachers and students during lab sessions, ensuring correct and safe usage of lab instruments. Maintenance & Safety: Keep the lab environment clean, organized, and safe. Ensure all chemicals and apparatus are stored and labeled correctly. Inventory Management: Maintain records of lab equipment, chemicals, glassware, and other consumables. Report shortages or damages promptly.
