Key ResponsibilitiesAssessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations. Diagnose speech and language disorders, including articulation, phonology, fluency, voice, and receptive/expressive language delays. Develop individualized therapy plans (ITPs) in collaboration with the family and team. Therapeutic Interventions: Design and deliver evidence-based therapy sessions tailored to meet the child’s communication needs. Utilize strategies such as articulation therapy, language development techniques, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed. Incorporate play-based and interactive methods to engage children during therapy sessions. Address feeding and swallowing challenges, if applicable, using oral-motor techniques.
