Job Description – Assistant Business Manager Position Summary: The Assistant Business Manager (ABM) plays a key role in driving sales and managing the performance of a specific product category within the branch. The ABM is responsible for achieving sales targets, supervising the sales team, managing stock and inventory, enhancing customer engagement, coordinating with brands and vendors, and supporting marketing and promotional activities. Key Responsibilities: Category Leadership: Lead and manage a designated product category within the branch, ensuring optimal sales performance and customer satisfaction. Sales Target Achievement: Strategically drive category sales, monitor performance, and implement actionable plans to consistently meet or exceed sales targets. Team Supervision & Training: Guide, mentor, and train the sales team to improve product knowledge, customer interaction, and effective selling techniques. Stock & Inventory Management: Monitor category inventory levels, ensure timely stock allocation, and coordinate with the inventory team for efficient replenishment processes. Customer Engagement: Enhance customer experience by delivering personalized service and proactively addressing customer inquiries related to the category. Brand & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with brands and vendors to execute promotions, discounts, and new product launches in line with business objectives. Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track sales trends, analyze performance data, and prepare detailed reports for the Branch Manager to support data-driven decision-making. Marketing & Promotions: Assist in planning and implementing in-store marketing strategies, product launches, and special promotional campaigns to increase category visibility and sales. Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints or service-related issues within the category in a timely and satisfactory manner. Key Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field. Prior experience in sales, retail category management, or team leadership is preferred. Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and sales tracking tools. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and provide actionable insights. Ability to drive team performance and manage category-specific strategies effectively.
