Experience / skills required: Engineering degree, MS or MBA preferred 12+ years of Consumer Goods manufacturing production/ improvement project experience Lean sigma certified Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing Excellence principles, TQM, TPM, Autonomous Maintenance. Strong focus on Process Improvement, Waste Reduction, Efficiency Optimization, Root Cause analysis and Problem-Solving skills, Lean sigma certified. Hands-on applicable experience with demonstrated team leadership. Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain culture change. Strong orientation for long-term business performance improvements Excellent communication skills Track record of outstanding employee development. Ensure adherence to Global Supply ManEx processes and leverage best practice standards to improve performance at USL Standardize process improvement approach across units to achieve consistent and sustainable results across the business Sustain improvement of Global Supply Make KPIs against unit level performance targets to eliminate waste and optimize efficiencies, via monthly Make target performance Demonstrate rigor in implementation of Global ManEx processes and standards, via annual alignment review Demonstrate Managerial leadership to develop team against role capabilities Drive Diageo Leadership standards and individual development plan targets, via P4G program Guide auditable improvement in employee technical capabilities, understanding of required processes and culture shift with sustained results, via annual unit audits Drive implementation of improvement programs and culture change to consistently achieve USL Supply Develop and implement a Performance improvement ManEx strategy supporting the USL stretch objectives to deliver the overall Manufacturing strategy, via annual strat plan process Develop specific manufacturing performance improvement initiatives to optimize cost, eliminate waste and improve operational flexibility. Role Responsibilities: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The objective of the role is to ensure that all Nimapara Unit is Operating Safe and there is enhancement in maturity of EHS standards by working on following focus areas, 1.Unit EHS standards are aligned to global Standards on EHS (GRMS) and SFIP Stds 2. There is maturity in culture of Safety learning and sensitivity in safety across Organization including maturing BBS/SBO Program 3. Legal Compliance - EHS 4. Mature IMS System (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Std) Certification as MR for the Standard & Mature EHS Audit System 5. Mature and ensure mature Safety stds - PSM, LOTO, Electrical Safety, WAH etc 6. Work closely with regional EHS Manager and drive various initiatives of HO EHS team and EHS reporting as per protocols Mature Engagement, communication and initiative drives within unit. 9.Work on focus initiatives/projects in embedding use of Technology/Digitization in enhancing workplace Safety and monitoring 10.Project Safety Reviews TYPICAL ROLE REQUIREMENTS Qualification: • B.E./B. Tech/Equivalent in Engineering/Master in Science (with post graduate diploma in Industrial Safety/Env from a recognized institution and preferably be recognized by Directorate of Factories & Boilers, Odisha) Experience: • 8-12 yrs of post qualification experience in managerial capacity in a manufacturing Organization. Working in FMCG or Alco-Bev Org would be an added advantage. candidates should possess a working knowledge of the Odia language Knowledge & skills: In-depth Knowledge of manufacturing operations and EHS implications Knowledge on Workplace Safety Standards Good Incident in B11and use of tools Good understanding of EHS Audits/Legal compliance ISO 45001,14001, BSC (British Safety Council), DuPont Safety, Project Safety etc Plants and Project Safety, including experience in driving Digital Projects in EHS Experience in Plants and Project Safety,PSM, SBO/BBS Experience in Driving Performance Management in EHS Good Communication,Training and influencing Skills and run regular engagement campaigns on EHS area Experience in Environment, ETP,STP & Waste Mmgt Experience in driving improvement in Carbon, waste , workplace safety etc Best suited for someone who has• Good oral communication skills Good presentation skills Attention to detail Good Analytics and co-ordianting and Multitasking Skills System Thinking and Creativity Flexible Working Statement: Flexibility is key to our success.
