Job Description: We are looking for an experienced and responsible Cold Storage In-Charge to manage the entire operations of our cold storage unit. This includes inventory control, goods handling, temperature monitoring, hygiene standards, dispatch management, and proper documentation. The role requires coordination with sales, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the storage and dispatch process. Key Responsibilities: Cold Storage Operations: Manage day-to-day cold storage operations for frozen and chilled products. Monitor and maintain required temperature levels consistently throughout storage. Conduct regular checks on product shelf life, labeling, and FIFO (First-In-First-Out) process. Ensure proper stacking and space utilization in cold chambers. Inventory & Stock Management: Maintain accurate inward/outward stock entries. Conduct daily/weekly/monthly physical stock audits. Update inventory data using registers or software tools. Report product damages, stock variances, or expiry concerns to management. Dispatch & Delivery Coordination: Coordinate with the logistics/delivery team for timely dispatches. Inspect outgoing items for quality and quantity before loading. Ensure proper documentation for each dispatch (delivery challan, invoices, etc.). Maintain the material movement register, vehicle movement log, and delivery register. Hygiene & Safety: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene inside and outside the cold room. Ensure proper handling of goods using gloves, trolleys, and PPE. Follow safety and sanitation protocols (cleaning schedules, pest control, etc.). Implement waste disposal procedures as per company guidelines. Team Management & Coordination: Supervise helpers, loaders/unloaders working in the cold room. Assign daily work and ensure compliance with work schedules. Coordinate with procurement, sales, and quality departments as needed. Train staff in cold storage SOPs and hygiene practices. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain registers and files including: Inward/Outward Register Daily Sales & Collection Register Stock Ledger Waste/Expiry Report Bill Signed Copy File FSSAI Documents Display Ensure all records are audit-ready and up to date. Assist during internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Requirements:1–3 years of experience in cold storage/warehouse/logistics operations. Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods. Strong knowledge of stock handling, temperature control, and documentation. Physically fit and willing to engage in hands-on supervision.
